Dear Sarratt and Chipperfield Community Foundation,
I am delighted to acknowledge the receipt of the grant from SCCF. By partnering with local primary schools the grant will enable me to take the next step towards becoming a Certificated Play Therapist. I am looking forward to continuing to support local primary school children with emotional difficulties by offering one-to-one and group therapy sessions.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 the start date for the advanced training has been postponed until October 2020. The predicted increase in demand by schools, due to the fear and additional stress on families during these unprecedented times, means I am even more determined to commence the sessions as soon as it is deemed safe to do so. I will be discussing the best way to move forward with my Clinical Supervisor and the Head Teachers of Sarratt and St Paul’s Primary Schools and arranging referral meetings from September 2020.
