Pints Of View WILL BE ON MONDAY 26th SEPTEMBER AT THE PLOUGH, BELSIZE AT 8pm
September Pints of View will be held on Monday 25th instead of on Monday 19th. Bob Shearer will lead our informal discussion on the subject “Is it time to review the relationship between Church and State?”.
Following the retirement of Michele, Bob’s wife, as Rector of Sarratt & Chipperfield, Bob is standing down as my fellow co-ordinator of POV after 9 years (our first Pints of View was held on 19th November 2013). We are most grateful to Bob for the stimulating, humane and thought-provoking contributions he has made to discussions over the years. We shall miss him at Pints of View. I am sure you will want to join me in wishing Michele & Bob peace and joy in the future. I am pleased to say Alan Milsom has agreed to help me in arranging future Pints of View discussions. Alan will lead the one at October POV on
17/10, when the topic will be “The Energy Crisis – what are the
causes, how can it be resolved?”.
I look forward to seeing you on Monday 26th September at The Plough.
Best wishes, John
