WANTED!

NEW USE OR NEW HOME FOR 2 UNLOVED TELEPHONE BOXES.

Several years ago, Sarratt Parish Council adopted the telephone boxes in Buck’s Hill and Chandler’s Cross when they were decommissioned by BT and the pay phones removed. Since then we have tried to find a valuable use for them – everything from a book ‘swap’ kiosk to being the home for a local
defibrillator. But we have been unable to agree with local residents a viable use for them. In the meantime, these boxes cost money to maintain – regular
painting and repairing damage and vandalism. We are therefore considering their removal, but before doing so wanted to ask you the Parishioners
whether you could think of something useful they could be repurposed into; or whether you would like SPC to continue to maintain them with no
specific use; or whether we should offer them up for sale by a private buyer.
